Polystyrene is a type of plastic with the recycling code #6. The white beaded foam you see in coffee cups and packaging is called EPS (Expanded Polystyrene). It is lightweight, insulating, and 100% recyclable. Most people think foam trash is unrecyclable - that is a myth.
